Operate an industrial forklift to perform material handling assignments. Identify and transport material to and from storage areas and loading dock. Operate forklift/high-lift in order to lower stock to ground level pick-level slots from higher level reserve slots during day shift, and to put received stock in higher level storage slots during the day shift using safe operating practices.


Perform product selection, receiving and palletizing while adhering to USDA Safety and Sanitation Transports pallet loads of product from dock to correct warehouse slot using powered industrial equipment and insures all pallets are secure in designated slots to avoid damage or injury when product is selected. Replenishes pick slots with product from reserve slots to maintain inventory levels for night shift selection. Performs operations and safety check, including battery, brakes, lift controls, and fire extinguisher. Records all product, equipment and warehouse damage. Maintains the cleanliness of aisles by removing any debris from floor and racks. Follows safety policies and practices at all times.


Internal: The incumbent is required to interact with employees at all levels of responsibility throughout the company in a professional manner.

External: The incumbent is required to interact with customers in a professional manner.


  • Must be able to work in a refrigerated environment 35F- 45F or in the warehouse where temperatures could get up to 95F.

  • Must be able to operate a stand-up forklift proficiently.

  • Must be able to work for periods of time in a freezer environment -10F to +10F with company provided apparel.

  • Finish time is when work is completed and could require overtime with or without notice.

Education/Training: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Related Experience:

  • Minimum one-year production and/or warehouse experience preferred, preferably in a food environment

  • Able to work overtime as needed

  • Must be able to operate a walk behind electric pallet jack and sit down or stand up forklifts.


  • Able to read and write legibly; basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide);

  • Perform various roles including activities such as product receiving and selection, packaging, sorting, re-boxing, further processing and facility sanitation while adhering to company manufacturing requirements and safety regulations.

  • Ability to lift 10-80 lbs. frequently

Physical Requirements:

JOB REQUIRES WORKER TO: Occasionally sit, lift/carry up to 50 lbs., and reach above shoulders; frequently must be able to lift 50-100 lbs., push, pull, step, climb, balance, stoop, squat, kneel, bend and manipulate objects; must be able to continuously stand and grasp objects.

VIEW JOBS 1/9/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-04-08T00:00 Forklift Operator Warehouse Receiver Reports to: Warehouse Manager Shift: Day 7:30am-4pm Position Objective: Warehouse staff members are responsible for efficient, safe and accurate loading of the delivery trucks and performing the assigned warehouse maintenance tasks. Description of Physical Tasks: Keep all warehouse load areas and grounds clean. Place product on hand truck or dolly (approximately 20 to 50 lbs per case). Fills racks, pushes/pulls pallets and loads appropriate Allstate Beverage Company products. Climbing on and off forklifts numerous times a day in a safe manner. Responsibilities Include * Must report to work on time and clock in and out daily. * Start pulling product and building the transfer loads as soon as the load sheets are available. * Pull product and build each load directly from the transfer sheet. * Prior to starting the loading process, review the total quantity to be pulled and the truck it is to go on. Discuss any space concerns with the Warehouse Manager. * Pull and load the exact amount listed on the transfer sheets. * Pay close attention to rotation. First product received in should be first out. Down stack all partial pallets. * Load the product on each truck properly to prevent damage. * Visually inspect all cases loaded to ensure they are in saleable condition. * Be aware of code dates to ensure beer has been properly rotated in warehouse. * Require a count of the actual quantity of product received to agree with quantity shown on the bill of lading. * Restock pick up area and flow racks when needed. * Upon completion of the loading or unloading of each truck give the load sheet to the Warehouse Manager for verification. * Prior to the end of your shift each day ensure all empty pallets are removed from the pick area and properly stored. * Clear the pick area of debris and stretch wrap at the end of the truck unloading process each day. * Maintain open and clear communications with the owners, managers and other employees. * Maintain open and clear communications with the vendors and retailers that do business with the company. * Obtain from the Warehouse Manager approval prior to working in excess of your regular schedule. * Dress in uniform and maintain your personal appearance in a professional manner and according to company policy. * Conduct all your activities within the guidelines of all company policies and procedures. * Conduct all of your activities in accordance to the local, state and federal liquor control regulations. * Perform all work activities in accordance to the safe work practices, policies and procedures. * Adhere to all established inventory control procedures and practices. * Stack all empty kegs and separate by brands and size. Load and unload trucks each morning. * Clean warehouse, warehouse grounds and keg yard on a daily basis. * All warehouse employees are required to use forklift and pallet jacks. All employees will be certified before operating lifts or pallet jacks. * All other duties as assigned.
