A successful KANE Forklift Operator will be responsible for unloading and loading all inbound and outbound products, along with moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting product in a safe and responsible manner in the distribution center.

Schedule: 2nd Shift

Pay Rate: 18.50/hour

Benefits: 1st of the month after 60 Days

  • Expect our associates to maintain cleanliness, social distancing, and use PPE


  • Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using powered industrial equipment.

  • Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the exact number and types of products are loaded. This may include physically lifting products or material.

  • Follow customer requirements and/or other instructions to ensure accuracy: load count, stability of product, and that all products are loaded and unloaded safely.

  • Complete daily inspections of equipment.

  • Perform good housekeeping practices, clean as you go process.

  • Conduct operations and equipment in a manner that promotes safety and report unsafe conditions that can't be self-corrected to the leadership team.

  • Maintain food safety and sanitation standards, in accordance with Food Safety Guidelines.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Your responsibilities * • The role functions as a member of an area team that is directly responsible for efficient productions of quality products in the required quantities. * • Setup and operating welder & insulator equipment and provided support within the team. * • Stack lam and weld cores by using an auto plasma machine welder. * • Setting up the robotic cell for insulation and other tasks in the cell. * • Use Shop Floor Display, read and comprehend: Special Instructions, TDRs, Manufacturing Instructions, and all diagrams related to task. * • Assist in other areas within the department. * • Read and comprehend a calibration height gage and caliber gages, and do mathematical measurement calculations with aid of a devise and/or calculator. * • Control and adjust machine settings to adhere to blueprints, work from layouts and dimensions on drawings to perform assigned tasks. * • Ability to identify various tools to set up the machine and use them according to safe work practices. Identify and order appropriate supplies, parts, and tools as needed and identify materials used at their workstation as required by the job or job process. * • Use of flex flow and day and rank system. * • Meet specifications, produce a quality product, work defect free work and meet production goals. * • Production operators to train and/or perform the tasks of the other associates in the area as needed. * • Communicate with other operators and supervisor to discuss any problems. * • Support other functions within the team/department. * • Must be able to work with others in a team environment * • Place safety in the workplace above all else and follow safety guidelines along with reporting safety issues. * • Daily housekeeping. * • Work overtime and other duties as needed. * Your background * Education and Experience Needed: * • HS Diploma or equivalent required * • 1 year of Industrial type experience or in lieu of industrial experience will consider military service * Specialized skills or other requirements: * • Steady work history * • Reliable transportation to and from work * • Adaptable to change and ability to cross-train * • Detailed oriented * • Must be able to work any shift * Physical Demands: * • Requires repetitive lifting, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and twisting of motors/parts weighing up to 20 lbs. Occasionally will have weigh up to 50 lbs. * • Able to push buggies with parts/motors using between 55 lbs. to 75 lbs. of initial force to move it, with 25 lbs. of sustained force to keep it moving * • Understand and use all required Personal Protective Equipment * • Able to work 40 hrs a week and required overtime * • Ability to think independently while successfully functioning in a team environment * • Able to perform task in a manufacturing environment * • Standing on concrete floor for 8 hours or more a day * • Exposure to welding fumes. * More about us We look forward to receiving your application.
