What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Operate powered industrial lift trucks and order pickers to push, pull, lift, stack or move product, equipment and materials

  • Use a handheld scanner with a high degree of accuracy

  • Load and unload trailers as needed

  • Adhere to the 7S program and maintain a clean environment at all times

  • Display a commitment to process excellence

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the Supply Chain quality policy

  • Perform inbound receiving processes

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

  • To be trained and certified in the safe operation of powered industrial lift trucks

  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime when needed

It'd be great if you also have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1 year of warehouse experience

  • A positive attitude and the ability to work well in a team environment

  • Excellent communication skills

This job requires the ability to:

  • Lift 50 lbs. frequently and greater than 75 lbs. occasionally

  • Lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights

  • Bend, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull

  • Stand, sit or walk for long periods of time

  • Handle or manage tools or equipment

  • Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments

VIEW JOBS 9/18/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-12-17T00:00 1st Shift Chef Assistant Job Description Reports To: Office Manager Purpose of the Position: 1st Shift Chef Assistant works on the 1st Shift and is responsible for coordinating meal plans with the 1st Shift Chef, preparation & serving 1st Shift meals to Team Members, ensuring Kitchen, Breakroom and Break Tents are orderly and stocked properly prior to end of shift. Occasionally assist with receiving, checking-in and putting food orders away. Essential Functions: * Ensure Kitchen is in operating order: all equipment is in proper working order, all necessary tools are accounted for and are clean for future use, Kitchen is clean and sanitized regularly, ingredients needed for cooking are available, Coolers and Freezer contain safe usable food wrapped/sealed, marked and stored properly using FIFO processes. Any items found to be not in proper condition must be reported immediately to the Office Manager. * Follow directives and instructions of 1st Shift Chef and/or Office Manager. * Prepare, Serve and Clean-up Break Meals & Lunch Meals for 1st Shift according to Meal Plan directives and instructions. * Assist 1st Shift Chef with prep work for all meals as needed. * Occasionally (when needed) Receive, Check and Put-Away supplies for Kitchen and Breakroom. * Re-stock of supplies in Breakroom and "Breakroom" Tent. * Prepare all food in a safe, sanitary manner. * Maintain kitchen sanitation and safety standards including regular equipment cleaning. * Ensure the kitchen is clean, stocked and ready for next shift's use. * Assist with general cleaning of the breakroom between meal service, as needed. * Communicate efficiently and professionally with team members and management. * Prepare all potentially hazardous foods at the correct temperature according to HACCP guidelines. * Test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, using methods such as tasting, smelling, Thermometer, or piercing with utensils. * Prepare and cook foods according to recipes and quality standards. * Monitor food quality while preparing food throughout the day utilizing HACCP forms and production charts. * Ensure the quality of the food items and notify the Office Manager if a product does not meet specifications. * Monitor the quantity of food that is prepared and the portions that are served including portion control during meal service in order to control food waste and ensure that good food is not thrown away. * Regular and timely attendance. Non-Essential Functions: * Promptly communicate all safety related issues and concerns * Any and all other functions as determined by management Supervisory Responsibilities: * Assist with proper training of Assistant Chef(s) Required Experience/Education: * High School Diploma or equivalent * 2-3 restaurant cooking experience * Familiar with Kitchen Equipment including Food Processor and Food Mixer * Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers to prepare food * Able to understand and calculate cooking measurements * Able to understand and read temperature gauges * ServSafe Certified Physical Demands: * Be able to lift items at a weight of approximately 50+ pounds * Be able to stand continuously for periods of time equivalent to 6-10 hours Working Conditions: * High temperatures * Repetitive hand and arm movement Hellofresh Aurora CO
