The Forklift Driver will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count materials. The Forklift Driver will play a crucial role in maintaining a smooth and organized flow of materials within the warehouse or production environment.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a forklift to move materials within the facility.

• Load and unload trucks, containers, and pallets using the forklift.

• Transport materials from storage areas to production lines or designated locations.

• Stack and organize materials in an efficient and accessible manner.

• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by updating logs and reports.

• Perform cycle counts and report discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.

• Coordinate with warehouse and production staff to ensure timely and accurate material movements.

• Communicate any issues or concerns related to forklift operations.

• Perform routine maintenance on the forklift, such as checking fluid levels and ensuring proper tire inflation.

• Report any mechanical issues to the maintenance department.

• Handle materials with care to prevent damage and maintain product quality.

• Follow established procedures for handling fragile or hazardous materials.

• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

• Participate in training programs related to forklift operation and safety.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Valid forklift operator certification.

• Proven experience as a forklift driver.

• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.

• Ability to operate the forklift in a confident and precise manner.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a forklift driver.

• Ability to lift heavy objects and operate the forklift for extended periods.

• Previous experience with industrial equipment.

• Familiarity with OSHA guidelines.
