What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Operate powered industrial lift trucks (forklift) and order pickers to push, pull, lift, stack or move product, equipment and materials

  • Use a handheld scanner with a high degree of accuracy

  • Load and unload trailers as needed

  • Adhere to the 7S program and maintain a clean environment at all times

  • Display a commitment to process excellence

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the Supply Chain quality policy

  • Perform inbound receiving processes

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1 year of warehouse experience

  • Trained and certified in the safe operation of powered industrial lift trucks

  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, with possible overtime when needed

It'd be great if you also have:

  • Positive attitude and the ability to work well in a team environment

  • Ability to communicate well with leadership and peers

This job requires the ability to:

  • Lift 50 lbs. frequently and greater than 75 lbs. occasionally

  • Lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights

  • Bend, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull

  • Stand, sit or walk for long periods of time

  • Use hands and fingers to handle or feel tools or equipment

  • Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments

Job Summary: We are looking for a Machine Operator to join our team in Puyallup, WA. This facility manufactures polyiso insulation panels for one of our brands, Hunter Panels. This position will be responsible for operating or tending machines designed to manufacture polyiso insulation boards according to exacting standards of work order. Hourly rate: $17.54 $500 sign on bonus! Schedule Shift: 1st, 6am to 4:30pm Job Responsibilities: * Set up, operate and troubleshoot the side trim saws, perforator, crosscut saw, gang saw, ring wrap Housekeeping of plant inside and out * Operate and troubleshoot dust collection equipment * Attend various meetings to provide input on processing problems and changes to process and equipment * Maintaining 5S checklists * Perform 5S audits and complete TPM checklists * Attend various meetings to provide input on processing problems and changes to process and equipment * Perform equipment PM's as scheduled and coordinated with maintenance as needed * Manage defective product and stay calm in a fast-paced work environment * Demonstrate the awareness and ability to safely perform all aspects of Lockout/Tagout * Accurately use and read a tape measure to 1/16"; calipers to .001". * Offline work (sumps, hips, valleys) * Cutting feet * Effectively communicate with others in a clear, accurate and timely manner through the use of written and verbal communications, including the use of 2-way radios Minimum Requirements: * Must be 18 years of age or older * Experience with computers including various manufacturing programs * Machine operating experience preferred * Prior experience operating a forklift is preferred * Able to read and use measurement gauges such as tape measures, temperature gauges and pressure gauges.
