Merakey is seeking a full time Forensics Residential Program Director to join our Behavioral Health division in Russellton, PA.

Position Specific Responsibilities:

1.Ability to make employment decisions including, hiring, firing, advancement, promotion or change of status in conjunction with Human Resources.

2.Ensure documentation is properly and accurately recorded for each individual to meet state regulations, payer requirements and Merakey standards including treatment plans, progress notes, and charting requirements.

3.Establish and monitor the program budget.

4.Ensure proper incident reporting occurs through Merakey, state (HCSIS), county, and payers.

5.Ensure proper management of all crisis and emergencies.

6.Adhere to the alternative outpatient payment structure.

7.Attend all required meetings inside and outside of the agency.

8.Ensure compliance of current Merakey policies and procedures, and develop new procedures as needed.

9.Direct, manage, maintain, and monitor clinical services.



  1. Ensure adherence and compliance to program best practices, Merakey policies, and requirements from outside agencies.

  2. Ensure compliance to state, local, federal, and contract requirements, as well as requirements from payers.

  3. Facilitate ongoing assessment, evaluation, and planning of programs

  4. Identify and act on opportunities for growth, development and improvement within the program.

  5. Collaborate with clinical staff, consumers/consumers' families, other programs, and outside agencies to ensure continuity of care.

  6. Ensure program participation in PQI process.

  7. Prepare for site visits and audits.

  8. Provide clinical leadership in development and delivery of modalities, most effective treatment standards, policies and procedures.

  9. Provide direct supervision of staff to ensure a high standard of care.

  10. Supervise staff including the completion and oversight of annual performance evaluations.

  11. Oversee staff orientation/training for all staff.

  12. Any additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education:

Master's degree or higher in a generally recognized clinical discipline.

The Program Director must be registered, licensed, or certified to practice if applicable.

Work Experience:

Five years of mental health paid or unpaid experience.

Knowledge and understanding of severe mental illness, recovery principles and recovery driven service system.

Other:

Valid Driver's License required.

All Clearances required by OMHSAS regulations.
