Forensic, Litigation & Valuation Associate
Position title and practice description
We are currently seeking an Associate to join our Financial Advisory Services practice in our MetroPark, N.J. office.
EisnerAmper's FLVS group provides forensic accounting services in investigations and disputes. Its professionals work with in-house and outside counsels, public and private companies, and governmental agencies to gather, interpret, analyze and evaluate economic and financial records, presenting clear and supportable findings and expert opinions to courts, arbitration panels and boards of directors. FLVS team members are qualified as experts in state, federal and international disputes and hold multiple professional credentials.
Along with the firm's Bankruptcy & Restructuring practice (B&R), FLVS comprises EisnerAmper's Financial Advisory Services group (FAS). B&R provides restructuring and investigative advisory services to distressed companies, unsecured creditors, senior lenders and trustees in the middle-market environment.
EisnerAmper FAS's results-driven approach, combined with its B&R and FLVS capabilities, maximizes value for our clients and other stakeholders.
Summarizing and interpreting relevant financial information and records
Developing accounting, financial and economic analyses
Applying advanced analytical methods to a dataset as well as creating visualizations and dashboards for management (e.g., IDEA, Tableau, JMP, Power BI)
Assisting in the preparation of expert reports and other deliverables
Critiquing opposing expert reports in preparation of rebuttal expert reports
Interacting with clients and counsel to communicate strategy and obtain documents
Working with managers and partners on client communication and practice development
Strictly adhering to highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality
Expectations and desired skills and experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field from an accredited college/university
Up to 4 years of progressive public accounting and/or consulting experience in audit, litigation support, business valuation and/or forensics
CPA, CFF, CFE, valuation credential (such as CFA Charter, ABV, or ASA) and/or bankruptcy credential (such as CIRA or CTP) preferred
Excellent client service focus along with strong communication and technical writing skills
Outstanding analytical, research, organizational and project management abilities
Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
A working knowledge of various computer languages is preferred (e.g., VBA, SQL, R, Python)
Experience with relational databases (e.g., MS SQL Server, MS Access)
Ability to work in a team and delegate responsibilities
