Aon is looking for a Forensic Accounting Consultant

As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting Risk. Aon's Cyber Solutions team is expanding its Forensic Accounting group and is looking for a Consultant with relevant experience, such as forensic accounting, data analytics and fraud examination, to join this dynamic team. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work directly with our clients to provide forensic consulting services, including; fraud investigations, data analysis, compliance assessments and litigation support. We are searching for a highly motivated, inquisitive and technically capable person that asks the right questions and is willing to go above and beyond to find the answers.

Your impact as a Forensic Accounting Consultant

Job Responsibilities:

  • The candidate will review and analyze financial information, including accounting records, financial statements and underlying data to conduct forensic assessments, including fraud examinations, investigations and compliance assessments.

  • The candidate must be able to organize and process large volumes of data and information to facilitate analyses.

  • The candidate will assist with drafting client deliverables, including reports, memorandums, presentations and schedules.

  • The candidate must be able to effectively communicate the results and findings in a clear and concise manner for clients and internal senior team members.

  • The candidate should be able to perform accounting research on technical accounting and financial matters that may arise during an investigation and be able to communicate and apply those findings in an effective manner.

  • The candidate will work with senior team members to help ensure the proper deployment of staff and resources on our engagements.

You Bring Knowledge and Expertise

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required; Master's degree in a related field is a plus.

  • A minimum of 1-3 years or prior work experience in some or all of the following areas: accounting and audit, forensic investigations, litigation support and internal controls/fraud risk assessments, experience with the Big 4 is a plus.

  • CPA and CFE certifications are a plus (if you are working towards your CPA this position meets the work experience requirement of the AICPA), as well as other designations such as CAMS, CFF, ABV, CFA or CVA.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong emphasis in Excel, Access and PowerPoint (knowledge and use of Microsoft SQL and Tableau is a plus).

  • Ability to work effectively in both a team environment and independently, when necessary.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, analytical skills, and capacity for adaptation to a rapidly changing environment.

  • Willing and able to travel as needed.
