JOB SUMMARY
Schedule, coordinate and supervise craft employee activities. May involve supervising one or more trade groups or sub-contractors (Fire alarm, Low Voltage, etc.) working in a particular construction discipline. Ability to layout and perform advanced electrical installations and troubleshooting.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Completion of a four-year accredited electrical apprenticeship program or equivalent combination of technical training and/or experience.
Minimum of two years of supervisory experience in similar facility construction technology, methods, equipment, tools, and work procedures required.
Must have safe driving record and a valid driver's license according to legal requirements.
Valid Colorado (or reciprocal) JW license.
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Advanced understanding of construction scheduling, cost control and ability to supervise a minimum of five employees is essential.
OSHA 30 certification a plus.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and supervise craft activities including method of construction, manpower levels, material quantities equipment, temporary power sources, work schedule and documenting actual hours worked.
Coordinate assigned work with work of different crafts, company departments, or other contractors.
Maintain liaison with engineering and planning to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedule.
Assist in resolving construction problems (lack of productivity, work interfaces, etc.) as required.
Assist Human Resources in maintaining communications regarding employee job site performance as well as attendance and reviews.
Monitor craft compliance with project safety program requirements; document and ensure corrective measures are implemented.
Maintain liaison with vendors and Inspectors to ensure all required materials, equipment, inspections, etc., support craft activities and project schedule.
Strong social and communication skills with superiors, customers and project partners.
Intermediate computer skills, with MS Office, Bluebeam and other construction related software.
This position is required to drive.
Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
