As part of Global Treasury the candidate will assume an important role within the Liquidity Management team, driving strategic position management and developing consistent forecasting capabilities for key liquidity metrics. This includes collaboration with business partners, subject matter experts within broader stress testing team, and global treasury functional leads. Moreover, the candidate will regularly collaborate with State Street's senior leaders across corporate and business functions to make recommendations on the liquidity methodology to management. In addition to technical expertise, the successful candidate will have strong communication skills, with the ability to distill key messages, present strategic objectives, and drive recommendations for senior level audiences.

What you will be responsible for

  • Developing a sustainable, repeatable, and well controlled forecasting process for key liquidity metrics to enable more efficient planning of business unit consumption and debt/contingent funding

  • Driving integration of regulatory and ILST metrics in support of a comprehensive liquidity framework

  • Collaborating with business partners and GT functional leaders to inform and allocate forecasted capacity for business growth, establish consumption limits, and drive strategy

  • Developing repeatable peer review and analysis process, understanding State Street's position relative to peers and driving recommendations for change, where appropriate

  • Developing effective, analytical, and well supported presentation materials for senior level audiences; communicating State Street's liquidity position, forecast and strategy to broad range of audiences

  • Work with Treasury and RIGA leadership to understand industry trends, advocate State Street's position, and assess actual and forecasted impacts of key regulatory developments

  • Lead ad hoc assignments in support of liquidity management

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in a related field (Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Information Systems)

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in the financial services industry, including financial forecasting or modelling

  • Knowledge of financial markets and the banking regulatory environment with particular focus on liquidity

  • Demonstrated track record of financial analytics, modelling and quantitatively supporting management decision-making

  • Strong written, verbal communication and time management skills

  • Ability to multi-task, manage priorities, delegate team tasks while maintaining focus on priorities and meet deadlines in a demanding and deadline-oriented environment

  • Ability to proactively resolve issues by working with other teams

  • Experience in preparing presentations for executive management and regulators

  • Must be detail-oriented, well-organized, innovative, and a self-starter and team player with a high level of initiative

  • Advanced Excel and Power Point skills

  • Familiarity with banking or business intelligence tools a plus (e.g., Spotfire, Python)

  • Basic knowledge in programming or experience with collaborating with programmers - especially experience with clear definition of implementation requirements

Salary Range:

$110,000 - $185,000 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
