The Forage Harvester Technician will resolve product issues during visits to dealers by providing training on how best to repair & optimize the Self-Propelled (SP) Forage Harvester, as well as by providing dedicated technical support to help to grow SP Forage wholesale performance & retail market share for assigned dealers.
Research, quantify and track emergence of product support trends which may negatively impact the dealer and/or customer experience.
Ensure dealer service staff are properly trained to technically support SP Foragers, and all available technical resources (ASIST, eTIM, eWarranty, special tools) are used effectively for resolution to customer support concerns.
Partner with dealer service staff to quickly identify and diagnose SP Forage product concerns and make physical repair of units where necessary.
Report the outcome of all service submissions in ASIST (interactive technical information database) for follow up.
Lead SP Forage product events and field demonstrations for assigned dealers and customers.
Assigned territory: CA, ID, OR, WA, NV
The qualified candidate will have experience with the following:
High School Diploma
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a service related function with demonstrated experience in the repair of agricultural or construction equipment
Willingness to travel up to 75%
The preferred candidate will have experience with the following:
Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Systems Management, Mechanical Engineering or similar
Knowledge of SP Forage product application and agricultural practices
Strong knowledge of New Holland product applications
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.
Logical and rigorous problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to manage difficult end customer and dealership issues
