Football- Varsity Assistant

The Assistant Varsity Football Coach(es) will:

• Be responsible to the Head Varsity Football Coach for accountability of the total football program at the school.

• Exercise leadership in the teaching of skills, citizenship, character, rules and treatment of injuries.

• Work in harmony with the varsity football coach in promoting the total football program.

• Supervise players on team at all times during practices, trips and games.

• Perform any reasonable duties in the football program as may be assigned by the principal, athletic director or his assistant.

• Perform scouting duties as may be assigned by the head varsity football coach.

• Instruct players in the fundamentals of football.

• Treat all minor injuries of players and refer more serious injuries to trained medical personnel.

• Make sure that Student-Parent-Physician form is on file; also the emergency data form and athletic code signed.

• Assistant coaches are to perform duties as deemed reasonable by the head coach including coaching, attending J V games, etc.
