The Rutgers Division of Intercollegiate Athletics sponsors 24 intercollegiate sports, comprised of 14 women's and 10 men's programs, that compete at the Division I level. The Scarlet Knights are members of the prestigious Big Ten Conference, the nation's premier academic and athletic conference, after officially joining the league on July 1, 2014. Known as "The Birthplace of College Football, Rutgers hosted Princeton on Nov. 6, 1869 in the first intercollegiate football game, with RU earning a 6-4 victory.

Posting Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Football Operations Assistant for the Athletics department.

Among the key duties of the position are the following:

• Provides operational support to the football program.

• Assists the staff with information collection and uploading amongst multiple departments.

• Provides support in the implementation of various operational functions for the program.

• Supports other staff and coaches with day to day tasks with specific attention to their assigned area.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

• Two (2) years of relevant experience.

Certifications/Licenses

• A valid driver's license would be required for this position; Use of personal vehicle in order to travel for business demands.

Preferred Qualifications Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Good organization skills.

• Ability to communicate with student-athletes.

• Computer literacy.
