The Food Technologist is responsible to support the design and execution of product development, customer support, and applied research projects. This position will support projects of defined scope and the development of capabilities in the organization including providing required education and training.
The Technologist is accountable for the delivery of lab, pilot and full-scale experimental work as assigned by management and will apply knowledge of basic experimental design. This includes daily upkeep of our labs and all applicable equipment. The Technologist will interpret data to generate conclusions and properly communicate the significance of the experiment using charts and/or graphs and report status of your projects in a report format.
This may also include presenting scientific findings to both peers and outside customers. Project work can also include sending product, finished good samples, and/or written reports to end customer.
Bachelor's degree in Food Science or other science related discipline.
Previous experience (internships) in research and/or product development highly preferred
Good time management and multi-tasking ability required.
Should be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and all pertinent R&D software. Capable of utilizing tools such as statistical design software
