Summary:
Prepare food for service (i.e. chopping vegetables/fruits, slicing meats, or preparing recipes) and may need to follow recipes. Assist the Cook II with VIP/Special menu items as needed. Answer, report, and follow directions from the Cook II.
Responsibilities:
Accurately and efficiently prepare food items for room service operations, cafeteria, physician's dining, and catering as needed
Review menus and catering orders to determine type and quantities of foods to be prepared.
Assist in preparing, seasoning and cooking foods utilizing proper cooking methods and techniques for all food service customers.
Assist with food station setups in Catering, Patient Services, Production and Retail Dining appropriately to ensure timely delivery of products.
Maintain cleanliness and proper operation of all kitchen equipment.
Observe and maintain required sanitary levels throughout the food preparation process; ensure that foods meet standards for quality, freshness, taste and appearance.
