Performs one or a number of tasks relating to thepreparation and service of food for Center for Extended Care and Rehabilitation;the delivery and collection of food and supplies,the appropriate operation of machinery, and the sanitation of specific areas of the department.
1.Prepares and serves food to patients asassigned.
Preparesand arranges food according to guidelines or tallies.
Handlesfood in accordance with sanitary regulations.
Servesfood while accurately filling requests.
2.Transports food and supplies to designated areas within Hospitalor cafeteria.
Deliversfood trays, nourishment, supplemental feedings and supplies in an orderly andtimely fashion.
Operateselevators when needed.
Collectsused carts or trays and returns them to the kitchen.
Maintainsa sufficient amount of each item to support needs.
3.Operates machines used in thepreparation of food or sanitation equipment and work area.
Usesmachines/equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Operatesall utensils according to proper procedures.
4.Maintains cleanliness of the work area.
Mopsfloors, cleans equipment, utensils, work and service areas, using detergentsand germicides required.
Refrigeratesand labels perishable food.
Storesall supplies in an orderly fashion.
Sortsall silverware for washing and cleans, polishes stainless steel equipment.
5.May perform environmental serviceduties.
6.Performs related duties as required.
ADA Essential Functions
High School Diploma or equivalent,required.
Stockroom experience, preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively. Must be able to understand and follow verbalinstructions. Must be able tocommunicate in English.
