The Food Specialist is responsible for overall food preparation for the School's enrolled children. May be responsible for the oversight of a group of children and be responsible for their health and safety. Must be adaptable to menu changes and be able to meet meal and snack schedules. Ensures safe food preparations and proper sanitation methods are used and maintains a safe kitchen/pantry area.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create home-style, nutritional meal plans in the boundaries of their school's menu and budget, as well as state and federal requirements.

  • Prepare meals/snacks for children and staff. Distribute food to the classrooms following appropriate health and safety guidelines, and policies.

  • Follow the daily menu provided by the Director which incorporates, USDA, licensing and/or health department regulations.

  • Maintain inventory of food and supplies and order more when needed.

  • Assists in classrooms as needed as an Assistant Teacher/Floater.

  • Are caring, compassionate and love what they do

Job Requirements:

  • Work experience in cooking and/or food preparation for multiple individuals, preferably in a childcare facility

  • An understanding of all current state and local regulations

  • Flexibility as to the hours and schedule of work

  • A High School diploma or equivalent

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities Oak Grove is looking for a Virtual Production Engineer to support the delivery of virtual online training events for Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Successful candidate must be able to perform required job duties during irregular hours (on occasion) to accommodate an international audience. In this role the Virtual Production Engineer will work with customers, sponsors, and subject matter experts to support the delivery of virtual online training events for Oak Ridge National Laboratory. This position requires a take-charge personality using resourcefulness and initiative to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues (as needed). Duties and responsibilities also include: * Serve as a producer and coordinator of virtual training events, which includes content management/creation, event facilitation, and acting as a learning subject matter expert on training related projects. * Coordinate participant activities during events, such as monitoring breakout rooms, etc. * Monitor participant questions and support presenter with tool interactions, presentation materials, videos, etc. * Troubleshoot technical issues as they arise. * Participate in event follow-up actions, including lessons learned and/or feedback forums. * Virtual online training to include: Zoom, Microsoft Teams, WebEx, etc. Qualifications Requirements: To be considered for this position, candidates must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) listed below: * Bachelor's degree in a computer-related, instructional technology or technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and direct experience as a producer and coordinator of virtual training events, which includes content management/creation, event facilitation while acting as a learning subject matter expert on training related projects. * Must have solid KSA's troubleshooting multiple computer applications and virtual meeting platforms. * Strong experience with online distance learning platforms, e.g., Teams, WebEx, GoToWebinar, Zoom. * Highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications. * Ability to rapidly learn new technologies and processes. * Some background in instructional technology and associated methodologies * Strong attention to detail. * Must be computer savvy. * High level of learner empathy and knowledge of effective communication tools * Ability to perform duties during irregular hours on occasion to support an international audience. * Ability to identify, document, and resolve technical issues as needed Oak Grove Technologies is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
