LifeStream is a behavioral health and social services organization that provides high-quality treatment, education, care management, rehabilitation, child welfare, primary care and homeless services to children, adolescents, and adults. Located in Central Florida, LifeStream primarily serves the residents of Lake, Citrus and Sumter Counties, with additional programs located in Orange, Marion, Hernando counties.JOB SUMMARY: The Food Services Specialist Lead is responsible for the operation of the Food Services Department in coordination with the Building Services Manager to provide attractive and nutritionally adequate food service. This employee is to work as assigned within the Dietary Department to prepare, serve and/or deliver food to consumer units, and other staff functions. This employee is also responsible for kitchens sanitation and cleanliness including but not limited to, dishes, pots/pans, washing and routine cleaning of the dietary equipment, floors and storage area.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES: The list of essential functions, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this classification with or without an accommodation. The omission of an essential function does not preclude management from assigning duties not listed herein if such functions are a logical assignment to the position. * Maintains daily supervision of the food services program and its employees as well as department records * Assist the Building Services Manager with interviews, providing recommendations for hire/discharge and disciplinary actions for dietary personnel as needed * Supervises, plans, schedules and coordinates the duties for the food services employees * Assists in formulation and revision of policies and procedures * Evaluates the department regularly to ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations,* Assist with procurement and storage of goods and supplies, as well as insuring proper handling of food to prevent contamination, increase quality and reduce cost * The ability to comply with the regulations requiring a workplace of dignity and respect and equal employment opportunity compliance * The ability to work collaboratively with others and to accept constructive criticism from supervisors and managers * Willingness to abide by the company's published rules and regulations * Any other duties as assigned by LeadershipRESPONSIBILITES:* Serves food to consumers in the cafeteria, delivers meals to consumers and stocks snacks in unit galleys * Properly washes dishes and sanitizes all dishes, utensils, pots/pans and cooking equipment, as well as putting them away in an orderly fashion * Properly disposes of garbage at end of working day * Performs routine housekeeping duties as related to kitchen and dining areas * Put away deliveries of food and supplies received from suppliers * Operates dishwashing equipment to insure proper cleaning of all dishes, utensils, pots/pans and glasses * Cleans dishwasher's work are; keep worktables, shelves and sinks clean; empties waste paper cans and garbage cans after each meal and wash * Washes kitchen floor daily and any other area as designated by Food Services Supervisor * Shall be instructed in proper food preparation, handling and storage techniques * Attends scheduled in-services * Adheres to all departmental and company proceduresCOMPETENCIES: Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Motivation (KSAM) required for an employee to be successful. * Serving Our Consumers: Effectively meeting consumer needs, building productive consumer relationships, and taking responsibility for consumer satisfaction and loyalty.*
