Job Overview

The Food Services Manager oversees and directs the food services operations and ensures that the company's vision, goals and objectives are met based on client and contractual obligations. The Food Services Manager ensures quality nutritional food is provided to all patrons and that professional standards are met and maintained.

THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD. CHUGACH WILL ACCEPT APPLICATIONS FROM INCUMBENTS CURRENTLY HOLDING THE SAME POSITION.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

• Coordinates the activities of the food production/services staff providing support, leadership and feedback when necessary.

• Coordinates and evaluates service compliance to applicable food handling and safety regulations.

• Coordinates menu planning, assists in purchases, production, and delivery of safe, high quality, nutritionally adequate meals.

• Tracks and reports on staffing patterns and position management to support and promote a high quality food service system and the demand for complex clinical nutrition care promoting optimal efficiency and effectiveness

• Assists in the planning of an annual budget for subsistence, supplies, and personnel costs.

• Regularly evaluates program goals and objectives to determine progress, efficacy and continued need.

Job Requirements

Mandatory:

• Possesses at least five (5) years of experience (within the past 10 years) supervising personnel and working in the food services profession.

• Demonstrated experience in managing, planning, setting up, outfitting, and budgeting food services is mandatory.

• Possesses a valid Food Service Handling Certificate, which is to remain current through the life of the contract.

• Proficiency in oral and written communications in English.
