Job Summary

Under general supervision of the Food and Nutrition Services Operations Supervisor and in collaboration with the Lead Food Service Worker, performs duties to ensure food is ready to be sold and served to students, staff and those pursuant to Education Code 38082 during meal service periods; keeps accurate records; maintains assigned areas, facilities and equipment in a clean and sanitary condition.

Requirements / Qualifications

This posting is to recruit qualified candidates to add to our substitute pool.

We reserve the right to limit the number of candidates to those deemed most qualified for the particular vacancy, based upon application screening and test scores.

There will be an application screening for the position to verify that the minimum qualifications (education & experience) have been satisfied. We will email you via www.edjoin.org to advise you if you may participate in the written and/or performance exam. All candidates will be required to provide a photo ID with their signature.

Written Exam: OVSD tests weekly on Wednesdays.

Once you have applied, it has been determined that your application is complete, and you have met the minimum qualifications, you will receive an invitation to test via email. Please monitor your inbox for more information on testing/next steps.

Comments and Other Information

Employees who work thirty (30) or more regularly assigned hours per week are eligible for health and welfare benefits and will receive a district contribution toward a cafeteria fringe benefit package.
