Title: Foordservice Worker Patient Service

Every other weekend
Day and Evening Shifts
Assembles, labels, and portions food for use on patient tray line. Performs dishwashing and pot washing duties.
Responsible for sanitation of main kitchen and all food service equipment. Distributes all patient meals. Retrieves soiled patient trays.
Inventories and stocks supplies in unit kitchens. Assists in training of other food service workers.
Equivalent to completion of two years high school. Requires the ability to carry out instructions and procedures that are standardized.
Ability to read, write and speak English. Understanding of basic weights and measures. Understanding of basic mathematical functions. Ability to stoop and lift 30 pounds and push and pull 300 pounds.
Completes setup, stock and sanitation of workstations following standard procedures.
Prepares food items such as sandwiches, toast, hot and cold beverages, assorted desserts, snacks, salads, jello and custard, following proper portions, recipes, and presentation. Follows standard food handling infection control policies.
Follows standard knife handling procedures. May slice meats and prepare deli items i.e. sandwiches, mixed salads, cheese, etc.
Review patient diets prior to taking orders.
Make sure that orders taken are in adherence to patient diets.
Always have an ample supply of menus and ensure that each patient has a clean menu daily.
