Responsibilities

The Food Service Worker serves food and beverages; cashiers/records sales; cleans and sanitizes; washes dishes and cleans equipment; empties garbage and recycling containers; maintains cleanliness, sanitation and appearance of work areas; and provides prompt, friendly and efficient service to all guests.

Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.

Licensure, Registration, Certification

  • Current Washington State Food Handler's Permit is required.

  • If required to drive, must have a valid Washington State driver's license and an excellent driving record.

Special Training/Skills

  • If assigned cashier duties, must have ability to operate a computerized cash register, perform basic math calculations, make change, record and inventory stock.

  • Able to learn and operate kitchen equipment and computer.

  • Demonstrates understanding of customer service.

Work Experience

  • Previous experience in large-scale, retail or healthcare food operations is preferred.

Physical Abilities

  • For the efficient delivery of services to customers, this job requires sufficient English-language skills to understand and be understood when interacting with customers, visitors, patients, coworkers, and management.

In an 8-hour workday, must be able to-
