Job Overview

Shriners Childrens' is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialities hospital. We have an opportunity for a part-time Food Service Worker in our Nutritional Services department at our Chicago Hospital.

Part-time FSW with some cooking. Weekends and afternoons into evening.

Responsibilities

Food Service Worker, Part-Time Opportunity.

Position performs a variety of food service / cafeteria job duties such as cashiering, cold food production (salads, Jell-O, sandwiches, etc.), relief cashier, assisting cooks, meal services to both patient rooms and cafeteria, and work in dishwashing area. May also assist in the preparation of a variety of foods under the guidance of the cook. Will also transport food carts to patient floors.

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED Required

Experience: Three months minimally applicable experience in food service, preferably in a hospital setting.

Additional considerationto those who have had work related experiences cooking where applicable. Previous combination of cafeteria and cooking experience highly desired.

Certification: Current Food Service Sanitation Certificate.
