Food Service Worker (Entry Level!)

This entry-level kitchen role is an opportunity to gain valuable experience and develop your skills working with children. This position is school hours (no nights or weekends) and is a contract to hire opportunity. Excellent benefits offered through the school district once brought on permanently! Pay is $16.50/hr. 

Qualifications:

• Previous food service experience preferred
• Must obtain, purchase, and pass background check through NYSED.
• Willingness to float to different Greece Central Schools as needed
• Able to perform physical job duties that include walking, standing, lifting up to 50 pounds
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions
• Adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Ability to effectively and professionally interact with students, faculty, and staff

What You'll Be Doing:

• Assist with cafeteria coverage within the Greece Central School District
• Food preparation such as making sandwiches, cold plates, etc.
• Wash and sanitize pots, pans, utensils, and equipment
• Operate kitchen appliances
• Serve students
• Set up condiments and supplies
• Utilize knife skills
• Operate POS if needed
• Various kitchen duties as needed
