Food Service Worker

ASRC Federal Field Services provides logistical support at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in North Charleston (FLETC Federal Complex off of Spruill Avenue). We are looking for a Food Service Worker, who is available to work evening, and weekend hours.

Responsibilities:

• Sets up food service, or salad area facilities, equipment and utensils, under detailed instruction and, in accordance with specific area needs; checks food temperatures and/or prepares areas for daily operations.

• Follows prescribed procedures in setting up hot and cold food lines; chooses proper utensils and sets steam line to appropriate temperature for menu items.

• Serves food items to customers from counters and/or steam tables, in accordance with specific instructions, ensuring that appropriate portions are served as instructed.

• Replenishes foods, silverware, glassware, dishes, and trays at serving stations.

• May clean, wash, and maintain work areas, including floors, facilities, pots, pans, service ware, utensils, and equipment; collects and places garbage and trash in designated containers; as appropriate to the area of operation.

• Operate iPad/Square POS to process cash and credit sales.

• May provide guidance and training to other employees performing related work.

• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

• Punctuality, time management and teamwork are necessities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred

• Must be a US or Naturalized Citizen

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English

• Must pass a background investigation, and physical exam

• Must be able to work evening and weekend hours

• Must possess excellent customer service values

• Must be punctual and have great attendance

Preferred Experience:

• 1 year experience in food service

• Food Service Handling certificate preferred (classes will be offered)

• Experience operating point of sale equipment
