DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

The Nutrition and Food Services department supports Harborview's mission by delivering extraordinary experiences with compassionate evidence-based care, unforgettable customer service, and fresh and nutritious food for patients, families, and the greater community.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform a variety of duties in preparation and serving of food, maintain sanitary conditions of kitchen facilities portion and serve food on cafeteria line.

Promotes positive public relations and helps to create a congenial and relaxing environment by carrying out responsibilities in an efficient, friendly, helpful and sensitive manner.

Make and serve beverages.

Refill food supplies and paper supplies.

May assist or relieve other employees in higher level food preparation to meet emergencies or on the job training situations.

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Possession of, or eligible for, a food handler's permit
