Food Service Workers perform routine work in the preparation of meals and sanitation of food preparation/serving areas at the Delaware Valley Veterans' Home. Duties include cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, dishes, pots, pans, work surfaces, and other kitchen items; preparing trays, measuring portions, serving food, and transporting trays, carts and nourishment; using equipment such as mixers, dicers, slicers, knives, grinders.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time: 8.0 hours/day; 40 hours/week
Positions are available on the following shifts:
1st Shift: (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM) Rotating days and weekends
2nd Shift: (10:30 AM - 7:00 PM) Rotating days and weekends
Lunch Period: 30 Minutes
Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PAState Police and FBI clearance.
