Description
This class conducts food service support activities. Incumbents assist with food preparation, service, and delivery as well as kitchen maintenance support tasks. As assigned, work may include: providing customer service; performing cashiering; assisting in the preparation of food; assisting in the maintenance of kitchen equipment/appliances; and assisting with monitoring of compliance with health and sanitation standards.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Due to the nature of work assignments, incumbents must be able to perform detailed work on multiple, concurrent tasks, with frequent interruptions and under time constraint. While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, walk, stand, balance, and use hands, wrists, or fingers in a repetitive motion. The employee is frequently required to hear, talk, feel, grasp using fingers or palms, lift, push, reach with arms and hands, and stoop. The employee is occasionally required to finger, pull, crouch and kneel. In terms of the physical strength to perform the essential duties, this classification is considered to be medium work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
