Food Service Supervisor FT Evenings

Single departmental function supervision and/or shift supervision in accordance with hospital policy. Responsible for the daily administration of tasks, scheduling and problem solving related to Food Services.

Coordinates all activities of the production section of the department; directly supervises the planning and processing of meals; establishes procedures; plans menus, and assures compliance with standard practices and regulatory requirements. Position is responsible for approving timekeeping, employee evaluation, approving supply orders and department strategic planning.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Must be able to prioritize projects and handle changes in the facility, must have good customer service skills.

Organizational skills, sanitation knowledge, in-service training of employees. Basic computer skills.

THE FOOD SERVICE SUPERVISOR FT EVENINGS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent GED.

PREFERRED EDUCATION: AOS in culinary Arts and Sciences.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Two years Food Services experience.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: CHEF EXPERIENCE HIGHLY PREFERRED:

Strong food service background or schooling in nutrition, such as Certified Dietary Manager, Culinary Chef, or on the job training, restaurant management preferred. One year supervisory experience preferred.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: An unexpired Maricopa County Food Handler Care; or a valid card or certificate issued by an ANSI-accredited food handler training program; or a valid food handler card or certificate issued by another county within Arizona.
