Food Service Representative

Perform various duties involving limited preparation of cold food, serving food, dish washing, beverage making and cafeteria duties. Delivers and picks up carts from patient floors. Position Requirements: Two years high school diploma or equivalent and one year of institutional or restaurant food service experience preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Knowledge of dish room operations, including all equipment and processes, to efficiently clean and sanitize all washables.

2. Knowledge of food delivery system and protocols to efficiently deliver food carts.

3. Proper use of chemicals used in the Nutrition Services Department.

4. Proper use and cleaning of department equipment.

5. Work within the structure of the departmental and Cheshire Medical Center policies and procedures, missions and philosophies.

6. Knowledge of departmental functions and the needs of the Medical Center.

7. Adhere to department and Medical Center safety, sanitation and infection control standards and dress code.

8. Demonstrate a positive attitude and an ability to work with others in a cooperative effort to provide customer satisfaction and Continuous Quality Improvement.

9. Ability to perform job duties independently in the allotted time frame.

10. Demonstrate patience, courtesy and compassion when interacting with patients, visitors, employees and our other customers, maintaining excellent professional rapport.

11. Attends all required in-services and meetings.

12. May be required to perform other duties of lesser, equal or greater levels of responsibility.
