What you will do in this role:

• Works with vendors to create weekly food menu

• Preparation of and restocking of all salad bar items and other specialty items according to the menu and recipes throughout service

• Oversee food preparation, portion sizes, and the overall presentation of food

• Manage inventory and creates weekly food, paper goods and cleaning supply orders by vendor

• Oversee deliveries ensuring proper food and supply storage and labeling requirements are met

• Oversees the cleaning of the cafeteria by establishing a cleaning schedule and logging individual progress

• Cleans, refills and monitors all supplies and vending machines contacting all vendors when service is required

• Collaborates and supervises staff to determine, schedule and oversee the weekly food service

• Sets up, takes down and cleans all food service equipment, dishes, utensils etc. of both cafeterias and food prep area

• Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas

• Ensure employees comply with health and food safety standards and regulations

• Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality or service

• Maintain budgets and payroll records and review financial transactions

• Establish and manage standards for quality, safety, personnel performance and customer service

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proficient with Microsoft excel, word, and outlook

• Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail

• Excellent interpersonal abilities and enjoy working with people

• Able to multitask and work well under pressure to meet deadlines

• A current and valid food handlers permit

• Ability to lift up to 100 lb. with lifting equipment assistance

• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 20lbs consistently, with limited breaks, for a full 8 hour shift
