Food Service Cook/Supervisors prepare and/or supervise quantity food preparation and serving according to standardized menus and recipes in an institutional setting.

The Nevada Dept. Of Corrections has a vacancy for a Food Service Cook Supervisor 3 at High Desert State Prison, in Indian Springs, Nevada.

Incumbents prepare and/or supervise quantity food preparation and serving according to standardized menus and recipes in an institutional setting. Incumbents must possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to preform advance level work and may provide work direction and training to others. Incumbents work in a correctional setting serving three meals daily to inmates; prepare and submit orders for food, utensils and cleaning supplies; schedule, assign, coordinate and review work of a staff of inmate culinary workers; monitor sanitation of the general kitchen area.
