Food Service Assistant - Team Leader/Transporter

This is a Team Leader Position responsible for giving direction to and assisting with the training of other Food Service Assistants. This position is assigned to a satellite kitchen, receiving bulk food items from the Main Kitchen, and performing some final preparation/cooking.

Additional responsibilities include maintaining safe temperatures of food items, plating meals to follow specifically ordered diets, following safe food-handling policies/procedures, assisting trainer staff in kitchens as needed, providing snacks and medically ordered nourishments for residents, completing proper food storage and labeling, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, ordering and replenishing stock items from the Main Kitchen, and providing appropriate interaction with residents and co-workers. The Team Leader is responsible for washing and storage of dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and appliances in the kitchen.

This position is designated Mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather events.

As of June 1, 2023, the new salary range will be $26,069.00 - $45,622.00.

• The ability to use various computer programs such as e-mail, Microsoft Word, and Excel as well as general office equipment.

Physical Requirements:

Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering (picking, pinching, typing), grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motions, ability to exert up to 50 lbs of occasional force and/or up to 20 lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs of force constantly to move objects. Visual Acuity Requirements: Visual acuity to determine acuity accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of assigned work.
