Broughton Hospital is accepting applications for a permanent - part time Food Service Assistant to work 20 hours per week in the Cafe. This is an entry level position. This position works in the Employee Café preparing and serving food as well as operating a cash register. The Food Service Assistant is also responsible for cleaning stations, assists with minor food serving, and minor food preparation within the main kitchen of the Nutritional Services Department.

The Food Service Assistant is primarily responsible for cleaning all stations within Nutritional Services and assists with minor food serving and preparation. This position is also trained to fill in as a backup vehicle operator.

This position is designated Mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather events.
Normal working hours are 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. OR 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., including every other weekend and some holidays; however, flexibility is required to meet training and educational requirements.
