Food Service Assistant, Napa Preschool Program

QUALIFICATIONS:

• The position requires basic knowledge of institutional quantity food preparation, methods, procedures, storage, display, and service; weights and measures; and kitchen safety and sanitation.

• Requires sufficient English reading and writing skill to convey menus and details about food items.

• Requires sufficient human relations skill and work as a productive member of a team and with children and families. Prepares and serves breakfast, lunch and snacks.

• Assembles food items for students with special dietary needs and food allergy restrictions.

• Assists with creating menus and nutrition analysis.

• Requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time, bend, kneel and stoop.

• Requires sustained lifting of light to medium (under 25 pounds) and intermittent lifting of heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
