Join Our Team as a Food Service Assistant Unleash your passion for food and make a positive impact on the lives of students as a Food Service Assistant! Join our dynamic team and play a vital role in providing nutritious and delicious meals to our school community. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve hot and cold food items, ensuring adherence to established procedures and portion control standards.

• Maintain a clean and sanitary food service environment, including cleaning equipment, utensils, and serving areas.

• Prepare a variety of foods, such as entrees, fruits, meats, sandwiches, salads, and baked goods, using fresh and high-quality ingredients.

• Serve meals on serving lines, ensuring proper food temperature and quality.

• Prepare and arrange fruits, vegetables, and salad dressings for the salad bar, maintaining freshness and rotation.

• Prepare food and beverages for sale, including setting up plates, trays, and utensils.

• Perform cashiering duties, including operating a computerized point-of-sale system and handling cash transactions.

• Operate standard food service equipment, such as food carts, slicers, and can openers.

• Maintain routine records related to assigned activities.

Requirements / Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• At least one year of experience in a food service environment.

• Excellent food preparation and handling skills.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment.

• Ability to work as part of a team and provide excellent customer service.

• Ability to lift and carry heavy items.

• Food Handler's Permit or willingness to obtain one.
