Position Summary:

The Food Server serves guests and patrons of the Mohegan Sun Country Club according to department policies and procedures.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:

• Services guests in the restaurant according to specific department procedures
• Sets up stations, does sidework and other opening and closing duties, as directed by the Restaurant Manager
• Assists with arranging the room and setting tables for special events, as needed

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Participates in the cashier function
• Up-sells products and uses endorsements at all appropriate service opportunities
• May be asked to fill in as a Bartender, as needed
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work area

Minimum Education and Qualifications:

• Previous food serving experience
• Must have experience in a fast paced, upscale, high volume environment
• Must be able to effectively communicate with guests and co-workers in English

Competencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:

• Basic knowledge of spirits, beers, wines and beverage service techniques

Training Requirements:

• Knowledge of Mohegan Sun corporate and department policies and procedures
• Food and restaurant concept knowledge

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Must be able to stand, lift and bend for extended periods of time
• Fast paced kitchen environment
• Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
