The Food Safety/Microbiology Lab Internship will focus on projects related to food safety, laboratory methods and operations. This internship is located at our Home Office in Green Bay, WI and will start in May '21 and work fulltime through the summer.
What you'll do:
Assist the Microbiologist with their day-to-day needs
Laboratory project support (ex. Develop, validate, and implement new microbiological test procedures including writing SOPs)
Monitor the calibration schedule for all laboratory equipment in the microbiological laboratory and ensure that they are updated and in compliance with existing protocols.
Microbiology laboratory upkeep
Support updating database information for ingredients and formulations, corporate food safety documentation, and technical references.
Analyze data for company-wide microbiological results and other production results
What you will need to succeed:
Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology, Biology, Food Sciences, Nutritional (or any other related field). Duration: Summer '21, 40 hours/week
