Food Safety Coordinator

We are looking for a Food Safety Coordinator to join our team and support the Natural Ingredients business in Turlock, California. You will serve be responsible for overall coordination of the Food Safety and Quality Systems to ensure compliance with Food Safety and Quality Audits and GFSI Standards, increasing employee involvement and awareness of Sensient's Food Safety and Quality Systems.

What you'll do:

• Assist Quality Control Manager to ensure complaints are logged, tracked, investigated, and responded to in a timely manner

• Audit implemented corrective actions and manage the follow-up and presentations to quality and production related to customer complaint awareness and associated process improvements according to the Food Safety Culture Plan

• Manage the GMP and GFSI Audit programs for the Turlock and off-site warehousing operations

• Provide GMP and GFSI training and follow-up exercises to increase employee awareness

• Participate in on-site audits by regulatory bodies. Ensure quality control activities and operations are in compliance with GFSI, 2nd and 3rd Party Food Safety and Quality Audits and Assessments

What you'll bring:

• Food science or related degree and food manufacturing knowledge and practical experience

• A working knowledge of food safety and quality systems and technical duties

• Familiarity with BRC and other GFSI food safety auditing schemes

• Ability to drive and have a clean DMV driving record

• Ability to communicate effectively with both production staff and management

About Sensient Natural Ingredients

Sensient Natural Ingredients is one of the largest producers and distributors in the world of dehydrated onion and garlic products as well as chili powder, paprika, chili pepper and dehydrated vegetables such as parsley, celery, and spinach. These ingredients are used in many of today's popular convenience foods. The Natural Ingredients unit is located in Turlock, California.

The salary range for this position is $66,275 - $110,435 USD. Pay within the range is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions. In addition to salary, Sensient is proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits program to support the holistic well-being of our employees and their families. This position is also eligible for performance-based incentive pay.

RELOCATION: We are unable to offer relocation assistance. The successful candidate will be expected to work at Turlock, California and must reside in the area or be willing to commute.
