Food Runner Mix & Mingle -Full Time - Harrah's Gulf Coast

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Stock all side stations with linen and proper glassware.

• Occasionally delivers table set-ups with food order and clears away plates/silverware.

• Occasionally assist with maintaining water beverage levels throughout service.

• Wipes counter areas, sinks and floors as required to maintain a clean and safe workstation. Maintains cleanliness of designated areas as directed in accordance with established health and safety standards.

• Removes and properly disposes of all refuse and debris accumulated in restaurant and front line in accordance with department procedures.

• Work at an intense level of speed and accuracy while assuring high standards of plate presentation and food quality.

• Requires attention to detail, commitment to standards, continuous mobility, some heavy lifting and hot working conditions.

• Ability to ensure the organization of the front line, communicating with the food preparation staff allowing adequate time for food items to be prepared for our guest.

• Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents self as a credit to Harrah's and encourages others to do the same.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.

• Enforce Project 21 policy and procedures by monitoring area for underage gamblers.

• Suggests players in Caesars Rewards, Caesars Rewards App, Play by CR, and Caesars Rewards Visa.

• Suggests products, services and experiences to guests.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must pass a drug test.

• Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Must be able to initiate and engage in conversation in a professional and friendly manner.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Must be willing to participate in on-going training in the food and beverage field.

• Maintain knowledge of current property events, promotions and attractions.

• Must have outgoing personality and be able to generate business.

• Must be able to work independently, with little supervision.

• Comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

• Superior communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a team setting and independently.

• Must present a well-groomed appearance.

• Must adhere to uniform/appearance requirements.

• Ability to appreciate and be friendly with all Harrah's Gulf Coast team members who are of various ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

• Able to accept direction of Senior Leadership.

Physical, Mental & Environmental Demands:

• Able to read, write and speak English sufficiently to perform job.

• Available to work any shift, holidays and weekends.

• Ability to tolerate cigarette/cigar smoke and e-cigarette vapor.

• Ability to tolerate the smell and residue of cleaning products used in work and back of house areas.

• Responds to visual and aural cues.

• Must have manual dexterity to be able to operate the following equipment: computer, telephone, photocopy machine, fax machine, ten key, embosser, printer and bar encoder.

• Able to tolerate a loud and noisy environment.

• Able to stand and walk for extended periods.

• Able to sit, stoop, reach and bend.

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
