Job Description:

The Andersons is a diversified company rooted in agriculture that conducts business in the commodity merchandising, renewables, and nutrient and industrial sectors.

Our Goldsboro location is a sweet potato processing facility servicing the pet food industry.

Position Overview

This position is responsible for performing operations tasks involving the receiving, storage, cleaning, packaging and shipping of grain.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform assigned food grain operations tasks including but not limited to general facility upkeep, sampling for quality, and packaging.
• Operate various types of mobile equipment such as a forklift, bobcat, or payloader.
• Maintain a good working knowledge and adherence to all food safety policies and procedures.
• Perform all tasks in a fashion that promotes the safety and quality of our products.
• Actively participate in all required food safety and quality related meetings and training events.
• Report all food safety and quality issues to management immediately.

What is expected of you and others at this level

• Minimal job-related experience
• Work is prescribed and completed with close supervision and little autonomy
• Duties are clearly defined and methods and tasks are described in detail

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Basic data entry
• Pulling samples for quality checks
• Ability to assist with a variety of tasks in the dicing/dehydrating and packaging process
