Sodexo is currently seeking a Food Production Manager

• 3 to join our Government Services team at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, California. The Production Manager will report directly to the General Manager and will be responsible for day-to-day oversight of all culinary operations for one of it's Mess Halls.

The coastal and mountain terrain support a variety of military training.

The successful candidate will:

• Have 3-5 years operational management experience in a high-volume food service dining environment.

• Be a people person with a strong focus with maintaining positive client relations; a solid manager/leader who is perceptive and has attention to details that make a difference - quality and presentation of food - customer service -

• Be SERVICE focused- including providing excellent customer service in a welcoming dining environment.

• Be proficient in use of online Food Management Systems for menu/recipe planning, ordering and inventory;

• Demonstrate proven financial acumen/success: Food costs/ labor costs, budgets.

• have a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance;
• have high volume food service experience;
• have contract food service experience, preferred;
• have experience managing staff in a union environment, preferred;
• have food service experience in a high-end establishment, preferred;
• can manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and have a passion for a high level of customer service; and/or
• prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement

• Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience

• 2 years

Basic Functional Experience

• 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
