The FNS Clerk visits and interviews patients for food preferences within 24 hours of diet order and orients the patient to the menu and the menu ordering process. He/She will assist patients in menu selections via bedside ordering and has knowledge of modified diets. He/She communicates with patients, dietitians, nurses and members of the Food Service Staff. This person accurately builds patient meal trays and assists in delivering and picking up trays. Employees will follow all department and hospital procedures and performance standards to assist Osceola Regional Medical Center in achieving their annual patient experience goals. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Osceola Regional Medical Center.
High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
Clerical experience, including a minimum of 1 year of experience in Food and Nutrition is preferred.
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage stress appropriately and make decisions under pressure.
Excellent customer service skills
Computer skills are preferred
