LEGOLAND Discovery Center Philadelphia is on the lookout for a Food and Beverage Shift Lead to be the lead wizard for our caf!

Bonus Alert! We are offering a Weekend Shift Differential.

Employees who work a weekend shift (Saturday or Sunday) are paid a shift differential of $1.00 per hour over their hourly rate of pay.

About the Role

You'll wow the customer with exceptional guest experiences while hitting all KPI targets. You'll motivate caf team members to deliver outstanding results and strive for continuous improvement.

Key Objectives

  • Work with our Retail Manager to achieve food and beverage department goals.

  • Help lead a great team by training and ensuring all team members deliver consistent standards

  • Use the mystery shopper program as a benchmark to make sure you delight your guests with excellent customer service.

  • Drive sales above the budgeted targets by helping to develop new experiences, promotions and expand products lines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow all loss prevention procedures.

  • Complete all stock control processes.

  • Monitor the effective visual appeal of all commercial points throughout store and attraction, ensuring the highest standards and recommending improvements.

  • Plan, organize and maintain standards within your F&B unit or area, completing weekly standards audits.

  • Manage all safety practices in the caf.

  • Lead by example

About You

  • 2 years of food and beverage experience.

  • Guest service experience.

  • Experience in a visitor attraction, theme park, museum, leisure, hotel or theater environment.

  • Excellent communication and motivational skills.

  • Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and multi task as necessary.

Must present a professional image at all times. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Manage hourly employees, including conducting performance evaluations, coaching and discipline. * Reviewing applications, interviewing, and making recommendation to hire Hourly employees. * Directing work for employees including setting hours and weekly schedules and assigning tasks before, during and after open hours of the restaurant. * Driving sales and guest satisfaction; manage food costs, inventory levels, utility usage, and Health Department ratings. * Ensure CHARM Service Model is executed by every team member with every guest. * Providing, directing and scheduling Front of House and Back of House training. * Supervise and overseeing the production and preparation of food and beverage in a manner consistent with established recipes and procedures. * Follow Operations Playbook to ensure consistent daily operations. * Utilize digital manager logbook to communicate shift notes, product needs, equipment repairs and staffing notes with management team. * Enforcing appropriate security measures at the restaurant so that the safety of our employees and guests are always maintained. * Manage food, supplies and liquor costs by conducting weekly inventory. * Understanding, managing, and practicing safe food handling procedures. * Adhere to company policies, procedures, all state and federal wage and hour regulations, and restaurant filing responsibilities. * Ensure all equipment is in good repair. * Manage all processes including line checks, pull thaw, prep lists, food inventory, beverage cost, truck orders, food safety, etc. * Verify that all food and beverages are prepared to Ruby Tuesday recipe specifications about portion, preparation, and plate presentation. * Responsible for execution of new initiatives including new product and menu rollouts. * Lives our core values every day: Lead Boldly, Care Deeply, and Tell the Truth. 2053 Chemical Road, Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania 19462 * Must be at least 21 years old. * High School Diploma or High School equivalency required.
