Folder Gluer Operator-Hendersonville, NC200 Tabor RdEast Flat Rock, North Carolina, 28726United States Career Opportunity The Hendersonville Plant is seeking a Folder Gluer Operator who will be an integral part of the Finishing Team setting up, operating, maintaining, and helping train on the folder/gluer to produce cartons, sleeves and folders. How you will impact WestRock Minimum of five years' experience. Possesses mastery level skill-set, and is proficient in operating all folder gluer equipment, including complex equipment such as Media and Alpina. Must demonstrate competency in all basic folds. Knowledgeable of Leary Glue Systems. Must have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Must have the ability to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Must be able to meet and/or pass the minimum requirement on a mechanical test or have demonstrated mechanical aptitude through prior work experience. Must have basic computer skills including e-mail and word processing. Must be able to maintain good attendance. Must be willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods. Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. What you need to succeed Completes preventive maintenance requirements according to operations manuals, manufacturers instructions and established preventive maintenance schedules on Folder Gluers. Sets up bar code scanners, glue detectors, jam sensors kick and ejection systems. Maintains equipment, parts and supplies inventories: Includes anticipating needed equipment, parts and supplies, checking stock, placing and expediting orders, and verifying receipt of needed items. Locates correct job and loads in folder/gluer to produce finished product. Prepares make-ready feeder, prefold, glue system, final fold, delivery, stacker, bar code reader, pack station and inspection system. Operates folder/gluer in accordance with customer specifications and current standard operating procedures. Ensures total quality of the job while in operation. Contributes to quality investigations when necessary. Demonstrates competency in all basic and advanced folds; straight-line, lock-bottom, inner partition and 5th panels. Demonstrates competency in the use of the Leary inspection system. Demonstrates competency in all required documentation. Contributes to team effort by cross-training and providing back-up when necessary. Contributes to team effort by exhibiting strong work ethic, problem solving, providing training and demonstrating leadership. Understands and respects responsibilities of working in a SOP and cGMP environment. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with company safety rules, procedures and regulations. Effectively communicates with and to management staff. Quotes accurate run speeds and set up times for new die structures. Assists with training new hires on the Folder/Gluer. Utilizing a needs-based selling approach, the Universal Banker will provide solutions based on client needs and how they like to conduct their banking. Ensure the client feels welcome and provide them with a one stop experience in processing transactions and fulfilling their sales and service needs. Time spent in various aspects of this role will vary depending upon branch traffic and needs and the role of other teammates in the branch. Proportion of time spent on each will vary day to day. Establish new banking relationships with clients ensuring they are offered all the products and services that are appropriate given their financial needs. Retain and deepen existing client relationships through a needs based selling approach and delivering exceptional client experience. Provide account servicing and maintenance, and assist with problem resolution for clients in accordance with all established procedures and regulations. Process transactions accurately, assist with operational activities and responsibilities, and maintain flexibility between performing teller and sales related transactions. Encourage clients to use self-service banking solutions including, ATMs, on-line, and mobile banking to enhance their service experience. Qualifications Basic Requirements: * High school diploma or equivalent * Minimum six months experience as a SunTrust Teller or In-Store Financial Services Representative, or one year of non-SunTrust experience including some or all of the following: service, sales, cash handling or payment transaction experience. * Demonstrates ability to interact confidently with clients. * Ability to identify, evaluate and resolve client financial needs. * Cash handling and/or payment transaction experience in a medium to high volume environment with established processing procedures and controls * Basic math and numeric sequencing aptitude. * Willing and able to follow instructions and work under established guidelines * Ability to handle a variety of tasks and priorities during the course of a business day * Possesses skill, ability and aptitude to deliver industry-leading service, perform routine client maintenance requests, problem resolution and basic sales functions as well as basic teller transactions. * Commit to advancing knowledge of sales techniques and product knowledge to better serve personal and business clients. * Contributions made to meeting and exceeding client service and branch sales goals by offering and selling products and services and developing, expanding and retaining relationships. * Consistently follows defined procedures for bank operations and client service behaviors that contribute to delivering an extraordinary client interaction. * Knowledge of risk management and loss prevention. Supervision and/or assistance needed with more complex platform tasks. * Satisfies regulatory requirements for holding the position, including determined by SunTrust to meet the qualification standards imposed by the Loan Originator Compensation rule of the Truth in Lending Act. Preferred Requirements: * College level courses * One year experience as a Teller, Client Service Specialist, or In-Store Financial Services Representative at SunTrust or an equivalent position at a comparable financial institution; two years' experience in a sales and service based position in a retail environment.
