The right Foam Show Stagehand General Technician checklist will include equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator.

Summary of Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Be knowledgeable of assigned location and its technical equipment

• Be knowledgeable of show content and individual productions tracks.

• Assist technical set up of shows.

• Assist change over from one show to another.

• Perform requested repairs on show equipment and show facility.

• Participate in all work calls.

• Drive company vehicles (cars, vans, non-commercial trucks) to transport personnel and/or supplies

• Check work area daily to insure it is orderly, neat, safe, and well maintained.

• Management reserves the right to change and/or add to these duties at any time.

Education and Experience Required

• Must be minimum 18 years of age

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Minimum 2 years backstage experience with school, community or professional theaters preferred

• Carpentry and electrical skills preferred

• Basic computer skills required

• Must possess a valid driver's license and auto insurance.

• Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check including motor vehicle and drug screen
