FNP - Lead Nurse Practitioner - Outpatient - Brooklyn

A health services network in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join their growing Outpatient team in Brooklyn as their new Lead Nurse Practitioner. About the Opportunity: Schedule: Thursday to Saturday Hours: 8am to 8pm Specialty: Urgent Care and/or Primary Care Patient Population: Adults (occasional Pediatrics) Patient Volume: 25 to 35 per day (2-3 patients per hour) Responsibilities: The Lead Nurse Practitioner (FNP) will: Conduct comprehensive health assessments, diagnose illnesses, and prescribe medications or other treatments Manage patients with chronic conditions, provide education on self-management, and ensure continuity of care Perform minor procedures within the scope of practice Oversee and provide leadership to a team of nurse practitioners, nurses, and support staff in the outpatient clinic Implement and oversee quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and operational efficiency Coordinate and manage provider schedules to ensure appropriate coverage and efficient patient flow Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters and other relevant information Provide patients and their families with education on health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care Perform other duties, as needed Qualifications: NYS Nurse Practitioner (NP) license Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) license Primary care and/or Urgent Care background Desired Skills: Bilingual (English and Haitian Creole or Spanish)
