We are currently seeking an FMS Financial Management Lead to join our team based in Arlington, Virginia and at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, D.C.
What you'll do:
The FMS Financial Management Lead will lead a team providing financial management support to U.S. Navy Security Assistance Programs and assigned Foreign Military Sales (FMS) cases.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate the efforts of a team providing financial management support to a Navy program office
Interact daily with government personnel to identify, understand, and execute on client requirements
Serve as a subject matter expert for FMS financial management tasks
Lead training of financial management personnel to develop their knowledge and skills related to FMS financial management systems, processes, policies, and procedures
Provide financial management support and expertise in coordination with the Government financial manager for multiple customer and country programs.
Identify funding issues, prepare corrective packages, deobligate unused funds, and support the Government financial managers in reconciling FMS case financials, and responding to Program Reviews, Financial Reviews and case closure efforts.
Use knowledge of FMS financial reconciliation to support the Government financial managers in reconciling FMS case financials, and responding to Program Reviews, Financial Reviews and case closure efforts
Transcribe and summarize meeting minutes and notes and assist in the preparation and closure of action items
Attend meetings and program reviews; lead the creation of presentations, written materials, and electronic communications; and deliver those projects as required
Qualifications:
At least 7 years of experience providing financial management support to U.S. Navy program offices, including at least five years of experience in Navy FMS financial management
Expert knowledge of Navy FMS processes; policies; procedures; and financial management systems including Navy Enterprise Resource Management (NERP); Security Cooperation Information Portal (SCIP); MISIL; DIFS; and MOCAS
Ability to work with multiple stakeholders to identify, track, and deliver on requirements
Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
Active DOD SECRET security clearance
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting from an institution accredited in the United States
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask
Strong verbal and written interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally using a credit card or prepaid debit card as required by MBC and/or clients
Geographic proximity to attend meetings in-person at the Washington Navy Yard, as required by Government
