The Human Resources Department has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Human Resources Analyst to join the FMLA / Leave Applications team. This team performs Human Resources (HR) work relating to the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Paid Parental Leave (PPL) programs for all City departments.
The Senior Human Resources Analyst is responsible for the interpretation, administration, and compliance of FMLA leave for the city. This role reviews, analyzes and audits a high volume of FMLA and/or PPL inquiries, and exceptions and appeals from employees, HR liaisons and city management. This role also acts as a liaison to assist in resolving issues between our vendor, FMLASource, and the city, in a timely manner. Additionally, this role will supervise a Human Resources Aide position.

SALARY
Pay Range: $57,179.20 to $97,780.80 annually.
Hiring Range: $57,129.20 to $84,468.80 annually.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The minimum qualifications listed above, plus:
IPMA/PHR/SHRM Certification is desirable.
Supervisory experience.
Experience with:
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA).
Interpreting Administrative Regulations (ARs), policies, and procedures regarding leave programs or HR related processes.
Preparing and presenting training on HR related material to all levels of staff.
Reviewing FMLA medical certifications and return to work documents for accuracy and complete information.
Experience providing customer service and information verbally and in writing.
