Work in the Lunar Permanence Fuel Cell team performing Thermal and Fluid analysis on components and integrated systems
Develop and validate fuel cell stack and balance of plant thermal and/or fluid models using Thermal Desktop, FloCAD, and MATLAB Simulink
Support the development of low and high-fidelity stack, component, pipe, and manifold models
Communicate analysis results to customers to inform design decisions and ensure requirements are met
Work closely with design engineers to ensure model accuracy and recommend design improvements
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrochemistry, Chemistry, Physics, or related technical subject areas
2-5+ years of relevant Thermal or Fluids analysis experience in Aerospace, Automotive, or another relevant industry
Sound fundamentals in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and physics-based mathematical models
Ability to read, understand, and use Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) for performing calculations for compressible, incompressible, and two-phase systems
Work collaboratively in a fast-paced and often uncertain environment while demonstrating personal leadership, technical competence, and attention to detail
Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills
